OK, OK, I know I have been a bit quiet on the posting front for a few weeks (most of the summer, in fact) but I have been busy…writing. Yes, yet another attempt at fiction…will I ever give it up? If I follow the usual pattern, I will write for a bit then get bored with my own storyline and abandon the writing for something else …same old, same old… I have managed to fit in a few restaurant trips between the obsessive writing…if there is one mega bonus to being a wheelie and having friends, it is in needing to eat out a lot in order to see them…do I need to say that most peoples’ houses are not wheelchair friendly? And, yes, I do know how lucky I am that we are all still able to afford to eat out…who knows how much longer that will last? Might as well make the most of it! So, highlights… Very good food. Better than La Trompette - it’s Michelin starred sister restaurant - in Chiswick? Maybe. Best food offering: a truly scrumptious wood pigeon salad. Good access. The room is nice and light but noise seems to bounce around it and with tables that are a little close together, when full, it is really hard to hold a conversation. This was not a problem for our lunch because it was not full but on a previous visit, in the evening, it was irritating… L'Anima - minimalist Italian in the City Oooh, loved this - very relaxed, charming people, yummy food, great space. Totally accessible. All the food was so good, I can’t even pick a best bit…gotta go back! click below to ... |
