After two years of parking it, we are back to the WAV research. I have given it more thought. I hoped there might be a few more options available now. My objectives:
I chatted to Balder – my wheelchair guys who are now in the WAV market – and they are giving us a quote on a drive for me option in the Chrysler. The thought of doing this is scary. I am embarrassingly helpless to be alone in the big ugly world out there; hard to believe I could drive in this physical condition but technology is a wonderful thing. Meanwhile, back to the web… It is all the same stuff...big vans, me in the back, cars so ugly/functional/slow that you’d rather not go out at all in them. Nice choice - pay a shedload for a car you don’t even like! I decide to consider the possibility that if I don't LOVE any of the WAV options, why not just go with the cheap and functional? OK, I absolutely will not do the real cheap end…that Kangoo is so out! However, I did give fresh eyes to the Fiat Multipla from Brotherwood – the Balder guys said they are a great company to do business with. I like the look of it. It has a quirky ugliness and is half the price of the Chrysler...as my hairdresser said ‘get it in black with tinted windows – it will be fine!' Time for a test drive and, then, we are going to the Mobility Roadshow in early July where we can see what’s old, new and try them all... |
