Explore together any issues that have caused resentment and discuss how these have made you both feel - undervalued, not respected, etc. Not really seeing how we make it past listing the issues… Discuss what you could both do differently and agree to make a fresh start from now. Sounds like a plan but I’m seeing the ‘agree' part as a sticking point. Genuinely forgive each other's transgressions and put them behind you. Mmmm, that would be like living out the Palestinian/Israeli conflicts at a domestic level? Let me know when it works for them… Highlight the positives in your relationship and see how you can apply these to the problem areas. Like, we enjoy our time apart so do it more? Agree to point out tactfully (no snide comments) to one another if old resentments are resurfacing. If we were capable of this, would we be looking at this stupid list?
